Obama Signs The “Travel Promotion Bill”

CNN reports today that President Obama has signed the Travel Promotion Bill. This bill forms yet another hybrid public/private corporation whose purpose is to promote travel to the US.

“By signing the Travel Promotion Act, President Obama has acted to support the power of travel to serve as an economic stimulant, job generator and diplomatic tool,” said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association

This new entity designed to promote travel, will be funded by a combination of private sources as well as a small $10.00 fee charged to the users of the service from abroad.
